Those who helped fund the making of this Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor can get their hands on an early version of the game.
Playtonic successfully Kickstarted Yooka-Laylee last year, and those who helped back the project will be able to check in on the game and see how it's coming along thanks to the release of Toybox, a "spoiler-free sandbox" that allows players to experiment with the game’s basic moves, play with custom-built props, and interact with a brand new NPC character. Those who are getting the code should have received it today, so check your email.
See Yooka-Laylee in action in the game's recent E3 trailer.
Our Take
This is a neat mode for those who want to see how Yooka-Laylee is coming along, but I'm more interested in playing the game when Playtonic has a polished level they feel good about.
