Ahead of Infinity Ward's newest Call of Duty title, Infinite Warfare, the Treyarch-developed Call of Duty 3 has been added to Xbox One's collection of backward compatibility titles. Between Call of Duty 2 being added to Xbox One's backward compatibility offerings last month, the addition of the first Black Ops in May, and the November pack-in release of Modern Warfare Remastered, Activision is steadily adding the classic Call of Duty games to your Xbox One library.
Though Call of Duty 3 is often overlooked within the series, with the acclaimed Call of Duty 2 overshadowing it before the beloved Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare released, the game is still a strong entry, garnering an 82 out of 100 on Metacritic.
If you want to revisit Call of Duty 3 on your Xbox One, you must either insert your physical disc into your Xbox One and install it, or download your digital copy via your game collection.
