Minecon 2016, the Minecraft-focused convention, is in full swing. At the event, Mojang announced that the console editions of Minecraft will be getting a Chinese Mythology Mash-Up pack, along with a large update. Both will be coming on October 4.
The Chinese Mythology add-on will introduce a new pre-rendered world inspired by the Far East. As Microsoft points out on Xbox Wire, players will be able to "wander through the streets of an ancient great city" and "marvel at the dragons that dwell around the high mountains." The pack also includes 41 new skins and 13 themed music tracks, along with Minecraft's Battle mini-game that released this past June.

The Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack will release across console platforms, and will cost $5. On the same day, a large update is also coming to console editions of the game, which will introduce new mobs, items, banners, terrain generation features like igloos and underground fossils, and more blocks such as frosted ice and beetroot. You can head to the Xbox Wire to read the full details.
