The Farming Simulator community has kept the series alive on PC with a crop of mods, but the console versions haven't supported user-created content. That's changing with Farming Simulator 17, which is bringing mods to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
Mods will have to pass through a curation process from the developers before they're published on console, but once approved players will be able to add new animals, environments, game mechanics, and more – and at no additional cost.
Giants Software says the goal is to have them available for download starting October 25, when the game launches.
