Idea Factory Announces Three New Games For 2017

Japanese developer Idea Factory has announced three new PlayStation games set for release in 2017. Two will hit the PS Vita, while the other launches on the PS4.

For the PlayStation 4, Dark Rose Valkyrie puts players in the role of the leader of ACID, a covert military group. The game blends action/RPG combat with a visual novel-style narrative centered on a deadly virus threatening the country. You can watch the official trailer (which shows the Japanese version of the game) below. The game is set to launch this spring.

Vita owners can look forward to Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds, a remaster of the 2008 visual novel. The story follows a young woman named Chizuru as she searches for her father. Idea Factory says the new version of the game includes new encounters and love interests, and new episodes from the Hakuoki series. You can watch the trailer below. Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds is also slated for release this spring.

Finally, also for PS Vita is Mary Skelter: Nightmares. The game is set in a living, growing prison tower, and players fight turn-based battles, use traps and solve puzzles in order to escape. This one will be coming out sometime this summer. Behold the trailer, below.
