In Bungie's weekly news post, the developer has not only announced that the Eater of Worlds Raid Lair for Curse of Osiris is open today (noon central time), but also given info on the Faction Rallies for season two.
The Faction Rallies start on December 12 and go through December 19, with new ornament armor available for completing faction challenges. Above is some Dead Orbit armor (New Monarchy and Future War Cult below), and you can also see an example of the Winner's Offering (from New Monarchy below) which will be available for cheap to them if they win during the Victory Week that follows. Naturally, the other factions' weapons will be available if they win.
