It turns out that there's a pretty significant correlation between playing popular games and being a popular streamer. According to Dexerto, the most popular streamers on Twitch are all best known for their Fortnite playing.
In data collection done by the site, Dexerto counted the hours spent watching Twitch's ten biggest streamers between July 9 and July 15. Unsurprisingly, Ninja came out on top, but it is surprising to see by how much he came out on top. Ninja's hour count is 3.8 million, which is more than double Shroud, TSM Myth, and Nickmercs, who make up the second, third, and fourth sports respectively with 1.7 million hours each.
It is likely that the numbers have a lot to do with Fortnite's Summer Skirmish event, though the event did end early due to lack of interest.
