Steep Is No Longer Coming To Switch

We liked Steep when it launched during the tail end of 2016, but things have been a bit strange for the snowboarding title since then, with a mix of regular updates and just a hint of spicy politics. The latest part of the saga is the quiet confirmation the game will no longer be heading to Nintendo's hybrid console.

The news comes from an unceremonious announcement from the game's Twitter account, which replied to a question from a fan asking for any updates on the Switch version of steep.

"We are wholly dedicated to support the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead." The company tweeted.

The account also mentions publisher Ubisoft will have "more exciting news to share soon," though I have to imagine it won't be very exciting for Switch owners.

I can't say I'm too broken up about this loss personally, but it's still disappointing for the company to not announce this earlier to fans who may have been waiting for the Switch version to get into Steep.
