Bethesda Announces Open Beta For The Elder Scrolls Legends

As part of its Quakcon 2016, Bethesda announced that it's rolling out an open beta for Elder Scrolls: Legends, the free-to-play card game based on the long-running RPG series.

This is Bethesda's second foray into the free-to-play market, the first being Fallout Shelter. It also shares a few elements with Blizzard's Hearthstone, albeit with a few tweaks (such as a two-lane setup). Interested players can download the beta through the Bethesda.net launcher and read up on basic and advanced strategies for the game via the official site. Check out our Test Chamber featuring Dan Tack, Ben Reeves, and Wade Wojcik below.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is anticipated to launch for iOS and PC later this year.

Our Take
I'm still a little weary of investing in a card game after spending hundreds of dollars on one years ago, but Dan was positive on the game during our Test Chamber, so I might check it out. Trying it for free couldn't hurt, right?
